you say you love me,
then you go and flirt with one
of your little friends behind my back.
you say i'm an angel,
yet you treat me like a peasant.
you say you want to be with me forever,
then you go and break my heart.
you say i matter to you,
yet you treat me like some type of toy.

so what am i to you?
some type of object that you can toss around
for your entertainment?
a piece of garbage you can just throw out after you've
had your fun with it?
or am i something that you can charish
for all eternity?
something you can treasure and never let go?

you say you've changed,
but your still the same.
you said you were faithful,
here you are lying to my face
you wanted to see me smile,
yet here i am in tears.
you wanted me to be in your arms forever,
yet here i am in someone elses.
